Nikon ZF Firmware 2.0 is here and it’s MASSIVE

Today, Nikon dropped firmware 2.0 for the ZF and they totally knocked it out of the park. The degree to which Nikon is taking community feedback has been exceptional since the Z9, and they are continuing this with the ZF, providing an update list of Quality of Life improvements that frankly is exceeding all of our expectations. Nearly every major feature that has been added to Z cameras since the launch of the ZF is now included in 2.0.

You can download the firmware and read the patch notes here.

Below is a summation of great new features that are on the ZF with 2.0, all of which I go into more detail in the above video, as well as showing you where to activate them and how to customize them.

  • AutoISO on the ISO dial “C” setting

  • Nikon Imaging Cloud support added

  • Bird Subject Detection added

  • Focus Confirmation Box Thickness customization

  • Half Press to Exit Magnification

  • 400% Magnification added

  • Focus Scale Distance indicator in meters or feet added

  • Non-CPU Lens Enhancements added

  • Exposure Delay added

  • Command Dial Enhancements

  • High Res Zoom in 1080p video added

There are even more settings to explore, but for me, these are the most relevant to your day-to-day operation of the ZF. Watch the video, leave a comment on your favorite new feature, and if you found this helpful, please consider buying me a coffee so I can fuel up and continue to bring you more content like this. Thanks and take care!
