Ilford XP2 mono Lightroom preset and in-camera picture control for Nikon Z
I have replicated my in-camera Ilford XP2 Fuji film sim into a Lightroom preset for Nikon files. Of importance…this looks best when the file is pushed to the right of even exposure, and you need to have the Camera Flat Monochrome camera matching profile selected if this preset doesn’t select it for you. This is a low-contrast look that has room to be tweaked for higher contrast or bolder whites if you choose but otherwise retains the flatter look of the film stock.
I have also attempted to get as close to this look as possible with an in-camera picture control for Nikon Z.

Sharpening +3
Mid-Range +1
Clarity -1
Contrast 0
Brightness -1
Filter Effects OFF
Expose to the right in camera to get the overall look more balanced.
